John Pearson
John holds numerous degrees including a Master of Administrative Leadership (University of New England), Graduate Certificate in Public Sector Management (Flinders University), Bachelor of Applied Science (Charles Sturt University), Bachelor of Teaching (Further Education and Training) (University of Southern Queensland) and various TAFE qualifications. John is currently studying his Master of Research, Educational and Social Research through the University of London, which he expects to complete in 2014.
John’s career spans numerous key roles in the training and education sector, the most recent being TAFE Qld Faculty Director. Now, as Managing Partner of John Pearson Consulting, Look Now Training and Employment, and Indigenous Workstars John provides strong leadership which is focused on achieving outstanding results for all stakeholders. He personally monitors each project and all company outputs, undertakes benchmarking and performance monitoring to ensure operational efficiency, high-quality output and value for money, and empowers and motivates the team to achieve better practice. John is also a Director of two not-for-profit organisations; Five Bridges Ltd. and Community Edge Ltd, as well as Chairperson of the Australian Institute of Management Regional Council, and member of the Kawana First Committee at the express invite of the Minister for Justice, and Attorney-General, Qld.
In 2007 John formed John Pearson Consulting and along with a team of dedicated staff John now leads the way in developing innovative approaches to assisting Indigenous individuals, businesses and communities to achieve their aspirations. John Pearson Consulting has become recognised as the leading provider of major projects working hand-in-hand with Indigenous communities across Australia.
