Skilling Queenslanders for Work

Providing a truly unique and dedicated, holistic service

Skilling Queenslanders for Work

Via our not-for-profit community organization Five Bridges, we are delivering Career Preparation Programs, designed to help disadvantaged job-seekers and low skilled workers develop skills, gain qualifications and provide direct assistance to enter and stay in the workforce.

Through the Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative we deliver tailored support and assistance to help job-seekers. This includes a mix of career advice, job preparation skills, foundation and specific industry skills combined with the completion of a nationally recognised qualification.

Our current program, which has two focus areas, Business and Call Centre operations and Individual Support work in the Aged or Disability Care industry, has generated significant interest from applicants, community and employer groups.

Our programs are committed to delivery of training and support in community settings. Five Bridges combines community-based, culturally-appropriate training and support, with access to Industry relevant training facilities for skills development.

We are particularly proud of the strong support for participants offered by our program partners, such as Stellar Asia Pacific and Sundale, to encourage participants and enable really positive outcomes in our local Sunshine Coast communities.

These Career Preparation Programs support important pathways for unemployed and underemployed people who are struggling to find secure jobs.

It is a privilege to help people take up new opportunities for economic participation and inclusion by supporting them to get the skills they need to get jobs in our region.
