NT and NSW Child Care Workers Project

Preparing Indigenous child care workers for the NQS

NT and NSW Child Care Workers Project

Child Care Centres across regional and remote areas of the Northern Territory and New South Wales are currently participating in a program to raise the standard of care delivered by Budget Based Funded Childcare Facilities.

John Pearson Consulting has been contracted to broker the training needs of centres in the Roper Gulf, Arnhem Shire and Western NSW.

As part of the new National Quality Standards, child care workers must be engaged in, or have completed their Certificate III in Children's Services. John Pearson Consulting has developed an exciting and revolutionary approach to ensuring all staff receive culturally appropriate, quality training that suits the needs of these remote communities.

With a unique delivery model, utilising a mixture of new technologies that offer our students anytime/anywhere delivery, child care workers in remote areas will be able to offer a level of care that not only meets the National Quality Standards, but exceeds all expectations.

Who is this program for?

Participants in this program are Budget Based Funded (BBF) child care facilities across the Roper Gulf and Catherine, Arnhem Shire regions, and Greater Western New South Wales. Child care workers in these centres will participate in the training program, working towards their Certificate III's in Childrens Services.

Who are our program partners

John Pearson Consulting is proudly partnered with the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) in delivering this project.
