Tim Robson
Passionate about playing an active part in the reconciliation of Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians, Tim brings his vast skills and experience in business management, finance and governance to the role of General Manager, Operations. Tim was also recently appointed as Director of the not-for-profit organisation Five Bridges Ltd.
Highly qualified, Tim is currently studying a Masters in Corporate Law (Deakin University) and also holds a Bachelor of Business (University of Newcastle), Certificate IV in Project Management, Certificate IV in Business Governance, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Beginning his career in the finance area with TAFE NSW, Hunter Institute, Tim gained invaluable experience in procurement and financial management. Quickly rising through the ranks Tim moved on to become Corporate Services Manager of a small Sunshine Coast based business which gave him an in-depth understanding of small business management gaining critical experience in managing teams, financial operations, developing and implementing marketing strategies, and legal and compliance requirements of small business.
Looking for an opportunity do something more meaningful in his career, in 2005 Tim joined John Pearson, volunteering to assist numerous Indigenous not-for-profit community organisations with business planning, tender writing and governance. John and Tim worked tirelessly over the ensuing years, and when John Pearson Consulting was formed in 2007, Tim left his full-time employment to take up a managerial role within the business.
Tim continues to dedicate himself to achieving improved outcomes for Indigenous Australians and has been instrumental in growing John Pearson Consulting into a well-respected leader of national projects for Indigenous people and communities.
In his role as General Manager, Operations, Tim oversees corporate services, including finance, marketing, PR, IT, and communications, and the general day-to-day operations of the business. He provides leadership and support to all staff of John Pearson Consulting and Look Now Training Employment assisting them to achieve the best outcomes for stakeholders and clients.
Tim’s attention to detail, analytical approach, willingness to tackle difficult situations head-on, and passion for his work continues to bring outstanding outcomes for Indigenous communities and stakeholders.
