Sunshine Coast Company named winners at the Australian Small Business Awards 2015

The 2015 Australian Small Business Champion Awards recognises outstanding small businesses from throughout our great country and acknowledges the roles that small business plays in shaping Australia's economic development and culture.

The program puts exceptional small business people in the spotlight, acknowledging their hard work and commitment in building great businesses within their communities. The Awards program exists to reward the drive, persistence and determination shown by these people, and to put small business on the map at a national level.

On Saturday evening 18th April 2015 we are proud to announce that local Sunshine Coast Company John Pearson Consulting was named as the “Winner” in the Indigenous business category. This is an outstanding achievement for a business whose team have worked tirelessly in an area they strongly believe in to achieve client success and real results. This weekend John Pearson Consulting was recognised for that outstanding effort and achievement.

The Indigenous business category aims to celebrate outstanding businesses operated by, or servicing Aboriginal people within Australia. The businesses in this category must either be owned by Aboriginal people, or must provide products and services for the benefit of Aboriginal people. The award looks at the initiatives a business undertakes for the benefit of the Australian Indigenous people and what results are created by businesses that have benefited the Australian Indigenous people. From providing training programs in remote regions to Australia to assisting small businesses establish in Victoria, JPC delivers a wide array of services that are designed to provide real opportunities for Indigenous Australians.

One of JPC’s key services, Indigenous Workstars, is a dedicated recruitment service to match Indigenous job seekers with employers throughout Australia.   Since 2010, Indigenous Workstars has placed over 650 into employment, something the team at JPC are quite proud of.
